Third-Party Service

Introduction

Besides storing the data in databases, you can also use Third-Party Services. You can use these to export your Extracted and Analyzed Data. You have the following options here:

  • Excel (only available for Analytic-Tasks)
  • CSV

Overview

In the overview you can see all Third-Party Services that currently exist. You can see all Third-Party Services for Excel and CSV.

You can search for a specific Third-Party Service and adjust the column selection.


Excel Export Creation

Go to Settings > Third-Party Services and click on + Third-Party-Service, select Excel and click Configure. Enter a name for the Excel Export.

  • Excel Export Directory: Enter a folder here that is suitable for storing the files. Both local folders and network paths can be used. Please make sure that enough storage space is available.
  • Enable Thousands Separators: Format numeric values with a thousands separator.
  • Column Header: Specify whether the output of the column names should be technical (e.g. EKKO_EBELN), descriptive (e.g. Purchasing Document Number), or a combination of both (e.g. Purchasing Document Number [EKKO_EBELN]).
  • Data Limit: A data limit is used to split files. This number represents the number of lines per file.

Test path: If the connection test fails, you'll get an error message.


CSV Export Creation

Go to Settings > Third-Party Services and click on + Third-Party-Service, select CSV and click Configure. Enter a name for the CSV Export.

  • CSV Export Directory: Enter a folder here that is suitable for storing the files. Both local folders and network paths can be used. Please make sure that enough storage space is available.
  • Delimiter: A CSV file stores data in rows and the values in each row is separated with a separator, also known as a delimiter. Although the file is defined as Comma Separated Values, the delimiter could be anything. We provide you 6 delimiter options.
    • Comma ,
    • Tab (like the Tab-key on your keyboard)
    • Pipe |
    • Hashtag #
    • Semicolon ;
  • Column Header: Specify whether the output of the column names should be technical (e.g. EKKO_EBELN), descriptive (e.g. Purchasing Document Number), or a combination of both (e.g. Purchasing Document Number [EKKO_EBELN]).
  • Data Limit: A data limit is used to split files. This number represents the number of lines per file. You may also enter 0 to not split into multiple files at all.

Test path: If the connection test fails, you'll get an error message.


Edit

To edit an existing Third-Party Service just click on its name in the overview.


Deletion

Important

The deletion of a Third-Party Service can affect active (scheduled) Tasks and may cause them to fail. This deletion cannot be undone.
