Release Notes 1.19.x

Updated 2 hours ago by Robert Galetzka

If you update to version 1.19.x coming from a version below 1.18.x, you must review the technical details about the SAP libraries and the new communication mechanisms in the Tech Notes and then implement the necessary changes.
The numbers in brackets are the numbers of the Support tickets.

Release Notes 1.19.721

Managed App Version: 1.19.721

Published: March 16, 2026

Overview

This update fixes several issues in the Package Editor and improves the stability of Snowflake‑based extraction tasks. Runs finish more reliably, and configuration changes are saved as expected.

Improvements

Renaming Real‑Time Objects, repositories, and virtual tables is now saved correctly, and imported packages no longer trigger an “invalid file” error.

Dependency settings in the Package Editor are now retained even after switching between different elements.

Fixes

Extraction tasks that write to Snowflake now complete shutdown reliably, and the previous internal error has been resolved. If Snowflake returns unexpected metadata, users now receive a clear error message instead of the task failing without explanation.

Release Notes 1.19.710

Managed App Version: 1.19.715

Published: March 12, 2026

Overview

This release introduces new data extraction options, such as the ability to delete data in the delta. We also focused heavily on stability, error handling, and sign‑in reliability, especially around SAP, Snowflake, Fabric, and SSO. User interface elements such as forms, filters, and task creation flows have been streamlined for a more consistent and predictable experience.

This update fixes bugs in cases #273449, #273447, #273468 and #273485.

New

During the provision of a managed application, it is now possible to specify whether an existing or new virtual network is to be used, including the relevant subnets.

When dealing with SAP delta data, remote records can now be automatically deleted in supported target databases. Delete-repositories (repositories in Package Studio) can be configured for this purpose.

For Analytic Tasks with linked Custom Packages, initial and optional delta variants can now be selected separately. Variant-specific filters can also be set for each variant.

Improvements

  • SSO setup for Managed Applications is more robust through automatic cleanup of configuration file line endings.
  • SAP connectivity has been improved by replacing external tooling with direct COM‑based connections, providing clearer feedback and better stability.
  • Support for older SAP systems has improved with classic serialization used by default unless S4/HANA is explicitly selected.
  • SAP‑related error messages now use a structured model with clearer explanations and actionable guidance.
  • Snowflake and Fabric connections now produce clearer and more consistent error messages during testing.
  • SQL Server connection testing now provides clearer, more actionable feedback.
  • Telemetry write failures to Fabric no longer interrupt analytic runs.
  • Authentication has been simplified by moving from token‑based flows to secure, cookie‑based sessions.
  • A unified system‑wide status model provides consistent, easy‑to‑understand status values.
  • Package Studio now resolves tables more quickly by using batch resolution when possible.
  • Input controls across the UI have been consolidated to improve consistency and predictability.
  • Filter dropdowns now behave more consistently and are easier to use.
  • Informational fields throughout the UI have been standardized.
  • Fixed Value Filters can now be created without validation errors, even after being added to a report. They also appear correctly in the assignment list of a report and no longer trigger console errors.

Miscellaneous

  • The installer now includes a complete list of third‑party components and licenses.
