How does the data transfer to the SQL databases work?

In general, the configuration of all security settings and use of the respective protocols is the responsibility of your IT department.
The following standard client protocols from SQL-Server are used in dab Nexus:
- Named Pipes
- Shared Memory
- TCP/IP
The choice of protocol depends on the settings of the SQL-server instance and whether dab Nexus and the SQL-server instance are running on the same server or not.
If dab Nexus is installed on a separate server, the TCP/IP protocol is usually used. The port used depends on the configuration of the SQL-server instance -> the default port is 1433.
The protocol to be used for communication between dab Nexus and the SQL-server can be specified in the configuration.
