Introduction

Besides storing the data in databases, you can also use Third-Party Services. You can use these to export your extracted and analyzed data.

You have the following options here:

  • Excel
  • CSV
  • Alteryx -> Available with Version 1.12

How to set up these services is explained in the following sections.

Excel Export Creation

  • Click on Settings at the top, on Third-Party Services on the left and then on + Third-Party-Service at the top right
  • Select Excel as shown in the following screenshot and click on Configure

Enter the following settings:

  1. Enter a name for the Third-Party-Service
  2. Excel Export Directory -> Select a path in which the exported Excel files should be saved
  3. Data Limit -> Define a data limit per file (if this limit is reached, a second file is automatically created)
  4. Test current path -> Test whether the entered export path exists
  5. If the path exists and is reached, a success message appears
  6. Create or Create & Close -> Click on Create & Close to save the settings and close this view automatically, a success message will be displayed and you will see your newly created service

In this display, you see the name you have giben the service, the directory to which these files are exported and the Excel label indicating that it is an Excel export.

CSV Export Creation

  • Click on Settings at the top, on Third-Party Services on the left and then on + Third-Party-Service at the top right
  • Select CSV as shown in the following screenshot and click on Configure

Enter the following settings:

  1. Enter a name for the Third-Party-Service
  2. CSV Export Directory -> Select a path in which the exported CSV files should be saved
  3. Delimiter -> Specify a separator to splikt the individual column contents of the tables. You have the following options here:
  • Colon -> ,
  • Tab (like the Tab-key on your keyboard)
  • Pipe -> |
  • Hashtag -> #
  • Semicolon -> ;
  1. Data Limit -> Define a data limit per file (if this limit is reached, a second file is automatically created)
  2. Test current path -> Test whether the entered export path exists
  3. If the path exists and is reached, a success message appears
  4. Create or Create & Close -> Click on Create & Close to save the settings and close this view automatically, a success message will be displayed and you will see your newly created service

Alteryx Export Creation

Note
The Third-Party Service Alteryx will be available with Version 1.12 and must be licensed separately.
  • Click on Settings at the top, on Third-Party Services on the left and then on + Third-Party-Service at the top right
  • Select Alteryx as shown in the following screenshot and click on Configure

Enter the following settings:

  1. Enter a name for the Third-Party-Service
  2. Alteryx Export Directory -> Select a path in which the exported Alteryx files should be saved
  3. Use Unicode -> Tick the checkbox, if the entries should be saved in Unicode
  4. Test current path -> Test whether the entered export path exists (if the path exists and is reached, a success message appears)
  5. Create or Create & Close -> Click on Create & Close to save the settings and close this view automatically, a success message will be displayed and you will see your newly created service

In this display, you see the name you have giben the service, the directory to which these files are exported and the Alteryx label indicating that it is an Alteryx export.
