dab:Exporter Update
Introduction
Updating the dab:Exporter to the next higher version is very easy. You have to download the file DABEXPORTER_[Version].ZIP from the customer portal. This file contains the folders 00_sap_rfc, 01_setup_server and 02_setup_client.
Only the last two are relevant for the update.
We recommend to backup the folder data under the path %public%\dabgmbh\dabexporter [Previous_Version] before.
Before updating, please check if downloads are currently being processed in the dab:Exporter. Otherwise the update will cancel them!
Update of the dab:Exporter Server
The following steps describe how to update the dab:Exporter service.
- Open the folder 01_setup_server
- Right-click on setup_Server_x.x.xx.exe (depending on version)
- In the menu that appears, choose Run as administrator
- A new window opens in which you click on Yes to confirm the installation.
- Select the language to be used during setup
- As soon as the dab:Exporter Server Setup Wizard is started, you must always click Next until the end of each step.
If you have changed the path where the dab:Exporter is installed, you have to specify it during the installation.
Update of the dab:Exporter Client
The following steps describe how to update the dab:Exporter Client.
- Open the folder 02_setup_client
- Right-click on setup_Client_x.x.xx.exe (depending on version)
- In the menu that appears, choose Run as administrator
- A new window opens in which you click on Yes to confirm the installation.
- Select the language to be used during setup
- As soon as the dab:Exporter Server Setup Wizard is started, you must always click Next until the end of each step.
If you have changed the path where the dab:Exporter is installed, you have to specify it during the installation.
